The old Belltower in Erdaneos has since long been abandoned, but remains in fine shape – built that way by skilled architects of old. It was meant to be used in case of an invasion, fire, or other similar disaster, but serves no purpose now – not when the few citizens of Erdaneos virtually live within shouting distance of each other.
The tower overlooks the Akashic training grounds, and as such it became a bit of a haunt for the younger Dzakdvor, who would often go there to gaze upon his people from afar, longing for a place to fit in. Nowadays, he visits it more seldom – but it provides a convenient vantage point whenever one needs to spy on the machinations of the city’s akashics. From here, one can survey both the training grounds, parts of the library, and the Verrik communal long-houses. It’s an easy feat to sneak down on top of these buildings from here, though Dzakdvor has rarely done so – he fears his vantage point might be discovered if he’s ever seen sneaking around. Still, in case of dire need, it provides an easy way to sneak up on the tight-knit akashic brotherhood.
